Richmond Beach Community Association - Community Events

The Richmond Beach Community Association sponsors a number of community events throughout the year. Many old favorites such as the Halloween Carnival have a rich tradition all their own, but new ones are also added periodically. The Richmond Beach Community Association welcomes ideas for events that you are interested in organizing. Following is the schedule for 2008-2009. 5/16/2009: Richmond Beach Garage Sale Day:
Sales throughout the neighborhood, most from 9 am to 4 pm.
RBCA provides publicity; residents post own signs for individual sales in Richmond Beach.


Saturday, 5/16/2009 9:00 - Noon - Embrace Shoreline Schools
Volunteer-run clean up at Syre Elementary, 19545 12th Avenue NW. A joint project of local churches, PTSAs and neighborhood groups


6/9/2009: Public Meeting.
Richmond Beach Community Association voting on proposed amendments to the bylaws (19 member quorum needed), updates on important issues, planning for Richmond Beach participation in Shoreline parade and other summer activities. 7:30 pm - 9 pm, in the basement of the Richmond Beach Congregational Church, corner of 15th Ave NW and RB Road. All welcome.


6/13/2009 - Garden Tour
Self guided tour of local gardens. Maps available on website two weeks prior to event.


6/23 and 6/24/2009, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m - Pizza Mia benefit Lunch
Pizza Mia provides lunch of soup, salad and a slice of pizza. Donations support Richmond Beach beautification projects.


8/4/2009 - Night Out Against Crime
BBQ at Richmond Beach Community Park with representatives from police department, fire department, city council, etc.


8/16/2008 - Sandcastle Building Contest
Richmond Beach Saltwater Park
Prizes for best sand castles.
