Tuesday, June 22 and Wednesday, June 23, 2010
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Pizza Mia, 1857 NW 195th Street
Lunch provided by Pizza Mia for a suggested minimum donation of $5. Proceeds benefit beautification projects in Richmond Beach.
Please join us for lunch at Pizza Mia. Friends and neighbors are invited to be the guest of owners Roula Gomez and her husband, Miguel, for a delicious lunch prepared by Roula and served by volunteers in the community. For a suggested minimum donation of $5, customers will dine on a cup of soup, salad and a slice of Pizza Mia's famous pizza. Beverages will be available at cost.
Continuing the tradition that her father, Vladimir Oustambassidis, started 14 years ago, Gomez, will provide lunch to the community with all proceeds benefitting Richmond Beach Community Association beautification projects. Over the years, this fundraiser has brought in thousands of dollars to our neighborhood. RBCA has used these funds to make inprovements to our local parks, improve and add neighborhood signage and support the annual community Christmas tree. Several ideas for new projects were presented at RBCA's April community meeting and residents had an opportunity to comment on them at the Strawberry Festival. The beautification ideas include murals, historic street name signs, interpretive panels, historic markers, neighborhood information kiosk, marked walking tour and a grand promenade. The community's generous support at this fundraiser can help make these projects a reality!
