The Richmond Beach Community Association will host its 21st annual Strawberry Festival at the Richmond Beach Community Park (2201 NW 197th Street) next to the library, on Saturday, May 9, from noon to 5:00 p.m. This event is co-sponsored by the City of Shoreline.
The festival features music by local musicians, food from local restaurants, activities for kids, a walking tour of historic Richmond Beach and more.
This year's parade theme will be "animals"! Costumed kids will be led around the Community Park by a marching band.
Live entertainment at the 2020 Richmond Beach Strawberry Festival will include three top area bands plus delightful local youth demonstrations. This year's lineup includes:
A variety of scrumptious delights will be offered by local restaurants and food trucks.
And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Strawberry Festival without traditional Strawberry Shortcake served up by RBCA (freshly baked shortcake from Edmonds Bakery and fresh, juicy strawberries smothered in creamy whip cream–yum!).
Four great events = one spectacular weekend in Richmond Beach
The Strawberry Festival is one of four distinctly different events, which allow guests to enjoy the beauty and charm of our neighborhood in one spectacular weekend. This year’s festivities promise to provide activities and entertainment for all ages and interests. Join your friends and neighbors for a good time!
Please visit our Richmond Beach Celebration page for more details about these events.
The Strawberry Festival is an annual tradition for many families. It takes a small army of adult and youth volunteers to make it run smoothly. This year we are already looking for two key people to help with the festival. The current student volunteer coordinator, Allison Taylor, is looking for help. She has been overseeing the student volunteers for many years and this year is seeking help managing on the actual day of the festival, overseeing the students as they run the carnival-style games.. The food vendor coordinaor is also in need of assistance. Jenni Gallagher has a step-by-step instructions. Please consider volunteering to make sure our strawberry shortcakes, an event highlight, stay a sweet treat. For more infomation, contact the Executive Director, Teresa Pape, at firstname.lastname@example.org
Sponsors of the event are so important to us and we would like to thank them, for supporting not only the RBCA but for also being part of the community.
