2011 Theme: Hillbilly - Come dressed for a hoe down!
For exercise enthusiasts, RBCA hosts the Fifth Annual Turkey Day Fun Run on Thanksgiving morning. Run, jog or walk a course through scenic Richmond Beach. The course for joggers/runners is 3.4 miles and a shorter 1.6 mile course is plotted for walkers. Park below and meet at the entrance to the Richmond Beach Saltwater Park at 8:30 a.m. for warm up and a group photo before the 9:00 a.m. start time. Dress in a costume appropriate to the theme!
Donate to Hopelink
RBCA hosts a holiday food/fund/gift drive to support Hopelink's food bank in Shoreline in conjunction with this event. Help our neighbors in need by bringing either canned food items, a cash donation (make checks payable to "Hopelink") or new gifts for kids. Please do not include items that have expired or those in glass containers.
Free Pre-registration by November 20 for Prize Drawing and Group Photo
Register for the event by filling out the Online Registration Email Form (box with turkey, below) by November 20. Participants who are pre-registered will receive a digital copy of the group picture by email and have their names entered in a prize drawing. There is no entry fee.
Order T-shirts by November 4
Long sleeve t-shirts commemorating the event are available by pre-order only. Simply complete the lower portion of the Registration/Order Form PDF (download link, below), print it out and mail it, along with your check, to RBCA by November 4. Forms may also be returned (checks only—no cash) to Spin Alley located at 1430 NW Richmond Beach Road. Paper order forms can also be obtained at Spin Alley or cut out of the upcoming editions of the Richmond Beach Community News. Shirts will be available for pick up at the event.

For a $100 donation, sponsors get their logos printed on event flyers and t-shirts and their names acknowledged in the Richmond Beach Community News. This is a great advertising opportunity for businesses and an excellent way to show support for community activities that encourage a healthy lifestyle.
