Bring the Next Generation of Orcas to Life!
The Richmond Beach Community Association (RBCA) is seeking talented local artists to embellish 10 brand-new, 3D-printed orca sculptures. This is your chance to leave a lasting mark on the Shoreline community and showcase your work in highly visible public spaces along the Puget Sound.
Honorarium: $800 per selected artist ($300 upfront for materials, $500 upon completion).

Richmond Beach is a vibrant neighborhood in Shoreline, WA. Since 2017, our seasonal, pole-mounted orca sculptures have been a beloved neighborhood staple. As we retire the original fleet, we are introducing a new generation of 3D-printed, ASA polymer orca bodies (42” long, 24” tall) designed in a swimming pose.

Submit Your Entry
- September 1, 2026: Applications Due
- October 15, 2026: Orca bodies distributed to selected artists, Initial honorarium
- February 15, 2027: Completed orcas delivered to RBCA, Final honorarium
- April – October (Annually): Public display period

- Community Connection: Relevance to the local history, location, and spirit of Richmond Beach.
- Durability: Choice of materials and techniques suited for long-term outdoor exposure.
