Welcome to Richmond Beach in Shoreline, Washington
Welcome to one of the most inviting, vibrant, scenic, involved and “event-full” neighborhoods in the region.
Located in the northwest corner of King County and the City of Shoreline, Richmond Beach was noted for these qualities when it was named one of the 2010 Best Places to Live by Seattle Metropolitan magazine. Our community also has vibrant volunteers dedicated to informing and enriching our community via Printed Newsletter. We have once again won "1st Place Winner, Printed Format Newsletter, Not-for-Profit Organization" awarded by NUSA. Richmond Beach Community Association (RBCA) is a Century Corporation having been incorporated for over 100 years. The Association remains a vital force in maintaining the neighborhood’s quality of life by bringing neighbors together at events, keeping them informed, and facilitating neighborhood enhancements. |

2 Orcas Missing from Saltwater Park Entrance On May 14th 2022
Sometime between Friday evening and Sunday afternoon two of our beloved Beach Orcas were stolen from their posts at the entrance to Richmond Beach Saltwater Park.
The individual(s) that made the decision to steal from our Richmond Beach community may be rethinking that decision in the light of day, and since this is a "small town" of caring and concerned neighbors who love to talk, it is unlikely that this theft will go unsolved for long. Since these are valuable pieces of commissioned art, if the orcas are not returned, we will have no choice but to move forward with an investigation, police involvement and potential subsequent charges. Before we start down that path, we would like to offer a “no-questions-asked” drop-off of the Orcas, regardless of their current condition. By Sunday, May 22, please deliver our orcas to the Richmond Beach Library, no questions asked. As a board we thought long and hard about this project and whether an installation of orcas would work in Richmond Beach. We all felt that this was a place where a sense of community could and would protect these beauties for years to come. Needless to say, we are saddened for all concerned -- the artists who created these, the community that paid for them and the folks, especially the children, who delight in them. Let’s work together, hold out for someone to do the right thing and keep our Beach Orcas from becoming an endangered species. Please contact RBCA President Jessica Jain at (425) 306-8268 with information relating to the missing orcas. |

- Promote and produce social events and projects that generate a sense of neighborhood and enjoyment among residents.
- Nurture engagement among the Richmond Beach community, the City of Shoreline, and surrounding communities.

Conservative Approach to Events in 2022
With Covid-19 restrictions lifted across the state / county recently this spring, the RBCA neighborhood association will be taking a much more reserved approach to summer events. If you are interest4ed in helping volunteer to run any event and dip into possibilities again, even if just one toe at a time, please contact the board with your support!
