APRIL 1 ANNUAL ASSOCIATION MEETING AND AWARDS CEREMONY: The entire association membership gathers to look ahead, elect half the Directors, and honor our outstanding volunteers.
MAY 17 COMMUNITY GARAGE SALE: Members all over the community set out their treasures. Sign up for a place on the map, or join in on that Saturday.
JUNE 7 STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL: Our cornerstone event begins with a parade, and provides games, music performances, food, vendor booths, and of course, strawberry shortcake!
JUNE 7 GARDEN TOUR: Join the annual visit to outstanding gardens in our community, get design and plant ideas. You can add your garden to the tour.
JULY 23 RICHMOND BEACH MOVIE NIGHT. Meet at the Library Park for a family movie night.
AUGUST 24 BEACH BLANKET BINGO: Bring your lunch, dinner and snacks. Spread your blanket in the Library Park and play bingo with your neighbors. Prizes, including a kid gift launcher make it a summer favorite.
OCTOBER 4 OKTOBERFEST IN RB: Traditional food and treats, great beers, games and activities for the kids, too. See you outdoors at Vault 177/Spin Alley!
OCTOBER 7 COMMUNITY MEETING: Richmond Beach gathers for informational discussions about local and city issues.
OCTOBER 25 HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL: Join us at Syre Elementary for a classic afternoon of games, treats, costumes and snacks. A favorite event of our local children.
NOVEMBER 27 TURKEY RUN: Join us Thanksgiving morning for a run or walk around Richmond Beach with friends and family.
DECEMBER 6 HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING: Celebrate the season with neighbors as we gather to light up the big tree, and enjoy music, snacks, coffee and cocoa. Santa is coming by, too!

Annual Halloween Carnival
The Richmond Beach 2024 Halloween Carnival at Syre Elementary was held on October 26, from 3-7 PM for general attendees, but we opened early (soft start) at 2 PM for people who may have special needs that may make navigating a crowd tricky or uncomfortable. Even though there was a light rain, we had crowds of costumed kids enjoying the games, the prizes, the food and the fun. Thanks to all who came and our amazing volunteers, who made it happen.
RBCA Oktoberfest p/b Vault 177
Was held 9/21 12-5p at the Vault/Spin Alley
Richmond Beach Community Association (RBCA) is once again partnering with our friends at Vault 177 for the fourth annual Richmond Beach Oktoberfest.
This family-friendly event was well-attended in beautiful weather. We enjoyed the outdoors with tents , bounce house, games, great food, and great beer in the parking lot of Spin Alley/Vault 177.
Beach Blanket Bingo
Sunday August 25th 4-6p held at the Library Park
Our neighborhood’s most accessible, fun, family friendly summer event – Richmond Beach Blanket Bingo, sponsored by Ryan Carlson American Family Insurance Agency - was held on Sunday, August 25th from 4-6PM at Richmond Beach Community Park. Over 150 folks came out for Games, Prizes, and Treats!
$1 bought you 10 rounds of BINGO and blotters are $2 for marking your cards.
ICE CREAM AND DRINKS BY THE GIRL SCOUTS
We’ll also have our local Girl Scouts troops collecting school supplies for donation to Syre Elementary students in need. In addition to supply collection, they will also be selling popsicles and drinks with proceeds benefiting the Syre Community.
Volunteer Recognition Ceremony
On June 20th at 11am in the Richmond Beach Library Common Room we honored the outstanding volunteers of our community!
The RBCA is an entirely volunteer local association, and we took this annual moment to recognize and honor some of the outstanding contributors to our many events and efforts as a community association.
RBCA Board Member Elections
June 20th 12p RBCA Board of Directors Election Results
Four seats on the Board were filled in the elections held July 20th at the Annual meeting of the Association. The Association members reelected Patrick McNulty and Adam Star, and elected Sarah Peoples and Karen Leitner for two-year terms. The Board of nine Directors gathers on August 6th for their next monthly meeting. They will install these Directors and select their officers for the year. Congratulations to our leaders, and we support them as they tackle the work of planning our next events and promoting our neighborhood.

Strawberry Festival
June 8th at the Richmond Beach Community Park
The community celebrated together at our annual Strawberry Festival. The activities included live music, parade, children’s activities, face painting, food trucks and of course delicious strawberry shortcake! It was one of the best we have ever had!
Garden Tour
June 1st around Richmond Beach
The 2024 garden tour was one of our best ever. Neighbors toured the outstanding local gardens June 1 from 11 am to 4 pm. We had nine gardens on the tour this year. Six were new and three are favorites from past tours. One garden showed a collection of over 275 dwarf conifers and maples, mostly in containers. Another garden was a great example of what you can do in a small space. Each one was unique and beautiful. Join us next year!
RBCA Community Meeting
Wednesday March 27th 6:30p at Richmond Beach Congregational Church
The Association gathered on a rainy evening for a lively meeting. The RBCA board members and community members learned about summer events and activities from Linda Fisk, from the City of Shoreline’s Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services Department (SPARC), heard the updates about our upcoming events, including opportunities to volunteer in our Strawberry Festival (coming up on June 8th...) and Garden Tour (June 1). We had a community conversation about Point Wells, traffic issues and the progress of the Association. We voted to approve our revised Bylaws.
