Thanksgiving Fun Run: "Sleep, Run, Eat, Repeat"!
RBCA’s 15th annual Turkey Day Fun Run is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 25, and everyone is invited to “Sleep, Run, Eat, Repeat” with this Richmond Beach tradition of enjoying the Richmond Beach Community on the morning of Thanksgiving. If you make it up the big hill, you will have earned an extra dinner roll or two. Complementary water will be provided by Barre 3 Edmonds while supplies last.
Health and safety protocols The RBCA is currently working with the City of Shoreline to follow all health and safety protocols. Masks will be required at the start and finish lines. You are encouraged to practice social distancing–so run fast away from others or plan on starting at a different time to avoid crowds. As we have every year, runners will be required to sign a liability waiver. If you want to save some time, you can click here to download the waiver form. Print it, have all the runners in your family sign it, then bring it with you to the event. Logistics Run, jog, walk through scenic Richmond Beach on Thanksgiving morning, rain or shine. The course for joggers/runners is 3.4 miles/5.5 km and a shorter 1.6 mile/2.6 km course has been planned for walkers. Park in the bottom lot or walk to the entrance to the Richmond Beach Saltwater Park. The first wave of runners will be set free at 8:45 a.m. and additional wave start times will happen every 3-5 minutes for the next 30 minutes. You are encouraged to start as soon as you arrive at the park and stay within 6 ft from fellow participants. Dress for the weather and in costume for the Pajama theme (optional). This is a free event, but please consider making a suggested $5 per participant donation to help fund events like this in the community. T-Shirts sold at event Long-sleeve T-shirts commemorating the 2021 Richmond Beach Turkey Day Fun Run will be available for purchase at the event for $25. |
